yea 15mins as in my other suggestion i commented saw something else commented then saw something else so i had 2 comment again but why when i could of just used 1 comment if i had edit instead of spamming

Well, instead of edit possibly have a feature that warns you that other people have posted since you have and ask if you wished to continue.

I kind of like that you can't go back and alter what you said if it turns out unfavorable. Say what you mean and deal with the consequences. This does mean you'll occasionally have to triple post if you forget a few things and then want to add them, but I'm quite okay with that and have even done it myself.

I think it's more the way Sj responds with blatant abuse that causes the trolling, not his spelling. Telling people to die, get cancer, have retarded children etc if they don't agree.. Probably not the best way to communicate with someone.

Yes. In general, if you want to get a point across, be clear and be concise. Being non-combative is a plus too.

As for those who use the "It's not my first language so that gives me a license to type like a toddler" excuse, I believe it is everyone's obligation to at least make an effort if they want to be taken seriously. I am not a native English speaker. I grew up in a place where a different language was used other than my own. When I moved to where I live now, I made a real effort to learn the language, and learn it properly. Then I had to start working so I had to learn English, and I made every effort to learn to speak and write it properly. In my experience, if you want people to take you seriously, speaking properly in whatever language you two are communicating can never hurt.

I'm not saying it's everyone's obligation to learn English. I'm not making fun of those who have bad English spelling due to unfamiliarity. But to say that you don't need to write properly because its not your first language is stupid. With that reasoning, you'd shouldn't even be expected to learn to spell in your first language properly, unless you were born with a complete literacy skill set. At least make an effort. This site is in English after all.

I remember one of (buhehe) Tintin's threads where he asked about English. Come to think of it, his English wasn't bad at all. Must have been his attitude towards learning eh?
