I'm not a big fan of the yellow myself, I'd prefer to be able to change it, but if Ender wanted an arbitrary color than maybe white? Or even one depending upon rank? top 1 top 2 top 3 top 4-10 top 11+

Here are the options I see for clan name colors:

1. No special colors. Use default #cfc used for all basic links. Boring and they then blend in with other links.

2. Customizable color. Like your bot color. I didn't want to do this because I feel like it would make some pages look like a clown barfed on them. There's already a lot of different colors in the interface.

3. Special standardized color. I want clan names to be displayed in a way that screams "THIS IS A CLAN NAME" and a standardized special color seems to do this. The choice of yellow was arbitrary and I'm willing to change it if someone suggests something better.

Hmm, I like that rank idea a lot. Brighter more stand-out colors for higher ranked clans...

I don't really mind what colour, but this is WAY too intrusive. It should blend in, not scream for attention like a myspace page of colourblind 13yo ADD.

The rank idea seems like a good one.

Sure. Being able to color it differently based on clan rank would require some new code, so I probably won't do that for a bit if I do end up doing that. So for now, a different constant color for everyone would be good.

Give #9E0 a try. It's yellow/greenish, and not as blatant.

And i think it'd be better to align the clan names to the left in forum posts. The constant left/right/left/right looks kinda cluttered. Also not really digging the < > thingies, but that's a matter of personal taste.

I like #930 for color and agree that the left-align looks better.

I still like the brackets though. EQ-style guild names. :)

A suggestion:
Could the gt/lt signs for clan names be replaced with brackets? Since brackets are already used throughout the game, it's more consistent.

I'm just going to throw my idea in here for the fun of it.

I don't know if this is going to be set up like bots][, with blue and green servers, but if it is I'd suggest the green server having the clan names in blue, and the blue server having them in green.

I like the <> brackets because (1) it's how guild names are displayed in games like EQ and WoW and because (2) it sets it apart from all the other stats displayed in []. When you see <>, you're going to immediately think "clan name".
