Hi guys

How do I get strikethrough text?

The "del" tag doesn't work... which means I don't think it's possible. I even tried markdown formatting. No go. :(

You get a sharpie marker and strike through it on your screen, DUH....

I think that would black it out, not strikethrough it.

Ed was asked to release our hands and let us use full html/css formatting, but answer was something like "later" and the current markdown crap is used because of...safety. So no nice profiles till something changes in his mind :(

I think we could all use a good "fucking ourselves" every once in a while.

None of the various ways of making strikethrough text have been whitelisted, so there's currently no way to do this.

I have no plans to allow full HTML/CSS access. The whitelist is both a security measure (keeps out <script> tags and such) as well as an aesthetic measure. Some people would make good profiles, but the majority wouldn't - see MySpace circa 2002. Note this is unrelated to Markdown, which is just an alternate way of constructing HTML.

I understand the security measures but man aesthetics? really? let the crappy coders make crappy profilers, it makes me lol ;) and the good coders can make some money ;)

Also, I can't see myspace circa 2002, I can't even see it now, if you don't like something don't look at it ;)

*realises who he's talking too*

*shuts up*
