I looked at the formulas on Bots Unauthorized and Bots4 Unauthorized. There is the formula for absorb, but no formulas showing what absorb actually affects. Why is it there if it's never used in calculations we know of?

Well, you don't need a formula for that, absorb is already a percentage, how clearer can it get? "Absorb" = the percentage of damage that is absorbed.

> have 85% absorb
> take a 1000 (pure) damage hit
> lose 150 hitpoints
> less ouch
