Hey, I used to play bots waaaay back when there was a blue and green bots. Then I continued with bots2. I haven't played bots in almost..idk..4 years. Anyways, question is this:

Is there still a huge list that shows the different stats of all weapons and all armor?

Ender and I have a disscussion about this. He claimed that there was no mass weapons list in bots2, I disagreed. I recalled seeing one (as I think it helps new players out, floR did as well) he claimed the only one out was his list.

This should be added in documentation to help new players.

Yes, but most new players don't read the forum ect.. they just click away..

Is there anything on the home page like when you start and it helps you through until level 20, saying anything about the forum helping them

Welcome to bots4!
Hello there and welcome to bots4! It looks like you are new, so here are some tips:

Train against Infant and collect some kudos.
Use the kudos in the showroom to buy weapons.
Train against Trainmate until you gain enough experience points to reach level 2.
Add stat points in the workshop when you levelup. This is (roughly) what they do:
Strength - More damage.
Dexterity - More accuracy.
Constitution - More HP.
Intelligence - More experience/kudos.
Have fun! There's no "right" way to play, so play however you want. :)
(this box will go away when you reach level 20)

And there was a weaponlist in the documentation in Bots2.

I can't (be bothered to) find the help/doc page, but flor added a release note when he created the weapon list that you are talking about:

- Added a notification message if your bot gains a level after fighting.

I remember there being one. It was very basic. I also remember that it said last time seen.

I am sure, it was weapons/armor/shields lists in bots just because i copied it from bots to my pc. Probably i still could found it somewhere on pc.

Let it be known that on January 27th, 2002, Jans became the happiest man in the world when the forum was introduced.

It was no public list of unique armors that I had been referring to. That was a novelty in the early days of bots2. Clan forums had full lists (and of course BU, later on).

Anyway, I've tried to avoid linking to BU in any official capacity because I don't really want to maintain it, though most of the info should be pretty accurate.
