I'm looking at the weapons list link on Ender's site looking for the next set of weapons around my str/dex ratio, and I noticed the "economy" heading.

What is this calculation for?

The amount of damage you get for str and dex requirement.

Something that has a damage of 0-20 and str/dex of 20/0 would give economy of 1.0

So in that case, am I right in assuming that you want weapons of higher economy? As close to 1 as possible? (or higher)

Higher damage for the least amount of point's spent possible or have I got the wrong end of the stick?

In the general sense yes. However, with certain strength requirements, you may unlock other sets of gear.

Picking solely based on economy isn't the best idea. It'll get you in the ball park though!
