As we were told many years ago now there would be something to help the high levels in the game to keep us interested in playing, which to no surprise didn't happen. Ender you said we would get a EXP drop Myriad was around level 415 at this point and still now there isn't one neither is there anything else like weapons/shields to help us. So basically my question is Ender will you ever actually add anything to this game for the high levels or not?

Ender just incase you didn't know for myriad to go from level 428 to 429 it is 6,872,638,575,772 exp that is the equilevant to level 1 to 308

Thats basically 27,000 trains if you hit same exp as my average of 250mil every train

I recently calculated that Myriad at his current pace would get to lvl 486 when he's 90 years old. I was curious what would be the maximum level possible to achieve in a lifetime if Ender runs this game forever.

But yeah, I think the easiest solution is to add new weapons. Nobody trains against Ultra X or Scorpion X, with more damage maybe they could be viable train targets.

Although I agree with wanting there being end game material and progression added (usually as games go on these things are added), however calling out devs and/or attacking them isn't likely the best case to make an argument on. So, let's not go down that path here in this thread and attempt to keep it constructive and civil.

Understanding that this game is F2P, with zero commitment by us the player base (donations are just that, donations and do not give you the ability to feel entitled to receive compensation in the form of game updates). Furthered by the fact that this game is a hobby, IE Ender works on it in his free time. He's not obligated to work on it. This isn't his job.

All this though does lead one to wonder if the future of this game that Ender has envisioned will ever come to fruition as he does have a life.

My personality has me liking the game as we have it, and if anything does get added I consider it a bonus.

I don't believe he called out/attacked Ender, simply asked for clarity on previously announced updates. Ender may serve himself better if he only announced updates that were actively being worked on or were close to release.
While the game may be F2P, it is absolutely P2W, calling it a "donation" doesn't change the fact you are paying for power. I do wish Ender would make some changes here, and may make a separate post to discuss this.

It would be great to have more weapons/shields for high level bots, but the first person to equip the total annihilator equipped it 12 years ago and there hasn't been any mention of weapon updates from Ender despite that. Unless someone spends the time to come up with a list of new weapons and rigorously tests them I'm afraid it isn't happening. There is a lot of balancing of pre-existing weapon paths that also needs to happen but similarly won't happen without someone else doing it in their spare time

Bumping it so if ender ever gets on he gets to see it and maybe even answer it if I'm lucky enough

Here's what's roughly in my head for high level bots:

  • Where they were: In bots2 and then in earlier bots4, I think mostly vanity. This was always my favorite thing about bots2, obviously (i.e. Project X).

  • Where they are now: A new bots4-only niche that I think they neatly fill is treasury bots. With the way taxes balloon after 20 members and now with automatic treasury donations, having a high level bot or two in a clan can ensure you're able to support a larger clan when you otherwise wouldn't realistically be able to. Whether you think this niche is interesting or not is another question, but I think it's kind of neat.

  • Where they should go: I'm open to a lot of ideas. New exp drop(s) and new equipment are relatively low-hanging fruit. I still have dreams of somehow incorporating PvE into the game more and maybe high-level bots would have a niche there too? Not sure what/when will actually happen in that direction[*].

[*] My time for working on the game tends to be limited, so I try to focus on things that are important to the most people (generally: QoL, anti-cheat, community engagement, etc.), but I do want to get to other things too like new content for high-level bots. I'm sorry that updates don't come as fast as some folks would like. Nos, I appreciate a lot what you said and you're spot on about the reality of limited time / other commitments. That said, I really do get the frustration and try to look at it optimistically - folks get frustrated because they care, and I think it's awesome that people are still here and still care after all these years. That's not lost on me and I'll keep trying to live up to my end of the bargain.
