Right now I could go from dragon shield to the barbed shield. The only thing is that the 1% increase in block chance fromt he shield I would lose 36 defense. Does the 1% block have a greater benefit than losing almost 40 defense?

There are a few instances of this in the progression of shields that this. What the block increase needed to off set the decreased defense? Like 1% for 20 def etc.

Any way to know?

I believe it is just a pesonal choice you have to make for yourself. But if your at the max block of 70% then i would go with the defensive shield.

Should be pretty simple math. Take the average hit against you, you usually face and find how the mitigation that 1% block offers, and then how much the 1% absorb offers over an average fight. That should give you your answer. Block becomes better over shorter duration fights with high damage outputs.

if i remember correctly, block chance is theoretically equal to absorb, meaning that as long as the increase in absorb is greater than the decline in block, you should go for it. Needless to say, if the increase in absorb is smaller you should not.

Hah, not even close, 48.7%. Even though I don't have 50/55% I still win more (X-terminator) and get more xp.

I normally don't use a shield until 55-60% block.. it just doesn't seem worth it otherwise.

Training is different though.

The level plays a factor for me also sometimes. Like for instance, it always seem that at lower levels, even with a huge amount of dex, I always seem to find it better to dual wield weapons that to use a shield.

Yes training is very different, but that's what I do with this leveling bot, except right now trying to get 100K wins. 24,667 after I'm done with my sessions for today. 84 more days after today, anyone wanna help get those wins up? Or help get my losses up?

I know Neps has a ton of bots, some of them surely able to fight me, able to both win and lose (probably on purpose) to me. ;)

Isn't neps donating enough by having a bot for you to get 300wins/day? :P

Lol, that is quite helpful but 84 is 2.5 months that's a long time to wait and not level. May 26th without interruption.

You can level upto level 177 plus neps has been sort of leveling that bot so maybe even 178/179/180. You have a few levels to worry about it. You could also save yourself buffs and not use them while you stretch it out.

Or make/buy bots to dump wins on yourself.

Ya that's with two of my own bots able to fight this one as well, all the others are too low and would take a while to level high enough, but yes shorter than 84 days I'd imagine. Hm...
