Thanks for this bug report. I tweaked the code for trains and fights recently and apparently there is an issue with fighting certain bots. I suspect it involves having special characters in your battles messages, but I'll have to dig into this.

Well, that was messier than I thought it would be.

I was right about the cause (funky characters in battle messages), but wrong about when this was introduced. I'm pretty sure it's been around forever, but it's a very obscure corner case that triggers this, so that's probably why it went unnoticed until now.

Anyway, things should be properly escaped now, so you shouldn't see this anymore.
