I was under the impression that shadow thief stole all the excess over the max treasury cap in 1 day.
There were new members over this period of time, but no members left. Today to Sept 6, clan tax and shadow thief are the only activities for the day. No treasury donations were made over this period of time.
I suspect this bug was caused by Zion members.

Both Escapism and Eternal had members leave to Zion, I suspect that their departure may have contributed to what I think may be a bug.
This is the entire journal except I removed some promotions/demotions/acceptances.

The number of NCs can have a big influence on the amount of max treasury though.
* Every 5th NC doubles the daily tax >> double tax = higher max
* Every NC lowers max treasury by one day
If there have been a lot of changes to the team, and trainers keep auto-donating while this happens, stuff like this can happen. Although it does seem weird, daily visits from the thief, with large sums like that.

I'm not sure if this is a bug, this can be moved to the other sub-forum once it is confirmed.
If there is an issue with members leaving and the shadow thief, I thought Ender would have addressed that bug already. http://bots4.net/forum/4/2728 I don't remember Ender made any recent changes to any clans.

No donations over a period of this week and Today, Yesterday and Septemeber. No member changes at all, so the shadow thief visited 3 times in a row.....

Barricade, I think you are confused. Shoyuken is saying the sneak thief visited twice in a row, with no changes to the clan. He should have taken all the additional kudos on day 1, and not bother visiting again.

Let me clarify for you since i don't think any of your more veteran players have. Roughly half of your scoring members in Zion were previously in Eternal or Escapism. The absense of these members in Eternal/Escapism has lead to an identification of a potential bug in the clan treasury. I was/am not saying that any Zion members hacked into Ender's database and modified Eternal/Escapism's treasury limits.

If our players have the capability to create a bug to hack your treasury they'd be better off hacking your bots and dismantling the clan. A little logic and common sense needs to be applied before you accuse a clan of stealing your treasury.

No one is accusing anyone of deliberate stuff. All Shoy meant to say was it became apparent after members from both Eternal and Escapism left for Zion. Which doesn't make sense, but it's a fact that Eternal's and Escapism's treasuries are fucked up, while Atreides' is fine for example.

Omg you too now Ville? All Shoy is saying is that the most likely cause of this bug was from people leaving the clans. You "Zion guys" accidentally bugged the treasuries, Shoy spotted it and posted about it. Now Ender can fix it, this is a good thing. Braun is getting worked up over it for no reason.

Could obviously i'm not a hundred percent sure ...
But for example Eternal's treasury is 5,701,204,032 [275.7 days of tax]
They have multiple visits it seems more like the bug lies in the "shadow thief" then the treasury as it would seem the kudos aren't actually being taken as 4 or 5 members leaving would not account for like 30 billion + too come off treasury :)

If every 5th NC doubles clan tax than theoretically 3-4 members wouldn't cause massive amounts of clan tax loss... 4 members left, you promote 4 nc's (1 more left before a halving of the daily clan tax)... or am I mistaken with my maths? (which is possible)
Btw - literally- no one is accusing anyone of anything. All that has be pointed out is when someone left - a bug happened. If it means that much to you call it...

My initial guess is the members of Zion who left the clans with the issue caused the system to misbehave. Maybe ender can find out and let us know the ultimate reason why it seems this is the case. It could just be a simple case of bad timing.

Another strange thing to note is the amount that gets stolen. It's closely the same every time for both clans but Escapism is another multiple of 5 NC's ahead of Eternal. Can the shadow thief only carry so much?

It could be an explanation though. If it's an INT, the max the thief can take is 2.15 billion. The entries in the journal mention far larger sums, but it's never actually stolen from the treasury. Seems the thief is too greedy, he wants it all, or takes nothing - and comes back the next day to give it another shot ;)

I think this happened to Atreides too at one point, but it corrected itself when the surplus amount of the treasury dropped below the max the thief can take.

I've moved this thread to the bugs subforum.
I can't dig into this too much at the moment (I'm at work), but I think I know what's happening. If I'm correct, the bug is just that the kudos aren't actually being taken from the treasury (they should - 134.5 days of tax is way beyond the max). In other words, the amount that should be taken appears as it should in the clan journal, but nothing is actually taken. This explains why it looks like the shadow thief is coming back every day and taking a huge amount. It's right that it's trying to take that much; the bug is that it should only do it once (and, of course, that it should succeed in taking the kudos).
I'll perform a full investigation as soon as I am able, but in the meantime this shouldn't be a critical bug because no kudos are actually being taken.

This should be fixed now. The problem was as I suspected. The shadow thief could not actually take amounts greater than 2^32, but it could say that it did. This is why treasuries affected by this bug never went down in size, yet every day the clan journal says it should have.
