Thanks for reporting. This should be fixed now, but be on the lookout for any unusual side effects.

This was due to an unintended way the Markdown formatter and the HTML purifier were interacting. Note that the fix will only apply to forum posts (and bmails) going forward - the rendering logic is versioned by timestamp so that formatting of older posts don't get changed from what the author had intended (i.e. what they saw in the preview).
