Adjusting damage doesn't mean that a weapon would become useless... For example that Soulharvester nerf SayianZ mentioned... |

There are tons of such weapons, which are OP at some certain levels, if that weapons would be nerfed, some others would become OP, so this discussion is worthless |

Lets say it like that. Firstly those weapons have survived more or less 10 years since it was implemented. Secondly tweaking stuff to become balanced is an endless cycle of tweaking look at mmos, dota whatever it is that u might have played.. Thirdly as Off said it himself to you as well if u think MY understanding is so low, theres anothet respected player saying it. Mostly those weapons being really really OP is just for a few lvls. Yes its extremely OP against noobs, int bots and ppl who dont bother trying, but against other perfect bots it will only beat them for minimal lvl ranges. And believe it or not some weapon will beat some weapon on perfect build bots. Anything less than same conditions such as perfect build vs perfect build is not really an argument. Its like of course a quad core is gonna beat a pentium II computer in anything. And those weapon being such low lvls beating them wont last much more than 1-3 days if ur a very active member. Besides if your so knowledgable please tell me what dmg do you want to see on them? |

The game meta has changed a lot from bashing 1hit whores to building perfect bots. I just want to see more viable builds than there is available now. By adjusting weapon damages, I mean make more weapons viable and that doesn't have to be nerfing. I'm not saying that Ender should take 50 max damage off answerers. By doing some research I'm sure proper damages for each weapon could be found. Thats why I opened this thread here to see what other players think. "Buhuuu some other weapon will be op then." isn't a valid opinion due to past successful nerfs. Soulharvesters still won tourneys after the nerf....... |

If there is a change to weapon damage it should involve improving dex/balance weapons rather than nerfing str weapons imo. That said, raising the damage of dex/balance weapons is a pretty crude way of balancing the game given that they already do much more damage per stat point required than str weapons. |

you guys are all whining about changing weapons, but a much easier and better way to balance the game more, in my opnion, is to add more armours. especially around for dex/balanced bots there often are no adequate armours which is one the the reason for the str donination is lower levels. Also, i think we could lessen dex bots' pawnage above 200 by setting more restrictions on shields and thus balancing the game more :) |

Adding more armours would just worsen str bots' domination over dex/balance bots. The only reason balance bots are better than str bots at higher levels is because str bots run out of armour upgrades, while balance bots still have armour and shield upgrades ahead of them. |

i personally think there should be a whole bunch of new weapons and armor(especially a dex range of armour and more pure dex weapons) |

The thing about Mainor's suggestion is that if implemented it also buffs, guess what, strength bots, because they can use those armors as well. Only real applicable thing he's said is nerfing dex bots at higher levels, where no one will ever fight anyway. |

The way to balance all this, is to add more dex weapons that are "strong". |

As I said before, it's pretty clumsy to adjust weapon damage to fix build imbalances, as dex weapons already do more damage per stat point required than str weapons. Take for instance: smasher - 303str - 70-235dmg
In order to make pure dex builds comparable to str builds you would probably need to increase the damage of their weapons by 20+%. And really, that just makes the damage disparity a little silly. A possible solution would be to adjust the absorb formula to reduce the impact of higher armour def. Sure, that would be a massive change, but it would also allow for new armours to be implemented as well. |
