suggestions

Before I make my suggestion I would like to state two things.

First, I would like to thank Ender for this recent amazing update. You just brought this game to a whole new level.

Second, this is not a "money is now buying success" bitch. I am very grateful to all of the big donators out there, thank you for continuing to support this game that I enjoy very much with your money, your donations help motivate Ender to provide a better BOTS experience for all of us. Keep donating. :)

Now, that said, this suggestion has something to do with the latest update. The buffs are indeed amazing, and without utilizing them, one can no longer hope to be competitive at the top levels of the game. Let's take training, for example. A bot with both level 3 buffs (fight speed and XP bonus) can theoretically make 500% the XP/hour an an identically built yet unbuffed bot could. That is a huge advantage. Which makes the buffs rightfully expensive. At max discount, a level 3 buffs cost 88 AP. (I noticed that 10% discount rounds up, so I assumed it rounds up for all three levels of discount) So one of each buff for a training bot (fight speed and XP) would cost 176 AP per 1k fights. A cost not sustainable without buying a shitload of stars. Buying one star would get you enough AP (180 AP) to get 1k trains worth of x5 speed XP. Looking at the trophies leaderboard for points makes it quickly evident that stars are the main source of points. For example, the current #1 for points, Blitz, has 12.6k of his 14.7k points come from buying stars. (Again, thanks for supporting the game Blitz. ^_^) A trainbot who bought a few stars everyday could theoretically run all the time on level 3 buffs, which is not sustainable without points from buying stars.

So what I wish to see is more repeatable achievements that can help, a trainbot for example, gather achievement points a bit faster, and remain competitive in races with bots with a lot of All-Star trophy points. Beating a certain levelled trainbot while being below a certain level X times in a row for example, or earning X exp in X amount of time below level X, are a few suggestions. They don't have to be platinum achievements like All-Star, just bronze, silver or gold repeatable achievements would be welcome, every points helps, and of course donations should always give the best advantages.

Ideas on this?

P.S. Thanks again Ender for this fucking amazing update. \o/

I agree, I would like to see ones such as 10k trains be repeatable

I think you should earn points as you level up along side the traditional 4 stat points. This would just add a additional level to the buff system that would work alongside the normal way bots2 played. It would give all players a more level playing field.

Lv 1-50 (+1 point Per level)

Lv 51-125 (+2 point Per level)

Lv 126< (+5 point Per level)

I also agree that more repeatable achievements would be great and help people who haven't/can't donate.

I think it's fine for now. Some people want buffs to have less of an effect and some people want to have them permanently on. After a month or so the points will dry up and people will either have to do without buffs or donate. Being high in the HoF will only get you a few hundred points at most which will only last for a few thousand fights. There's no way anyone can have the best buffs permanently on. So people will have to plan wisely and use the cheaper buffs to make maximum use of achievement points.

PS. Donating $10 to do 1000 fights with a max buff is not something I see many people doing.

Still no way you can rival the points from stars with just the other achievements.

And probably not with fights. Trains, probably.

More ways of obtaining platinums (and other grades) is definitely something I have planned.

(Thinking while typing here, take all of this with a grain of salt or something...) I've always wanted to expand the PvE side of bots4 and this might be an opportunity to do so. I've tried to keep the focus of the clan race as PvP by trying to restrict the old bots2 ways of obtaining CS like beating up on non-player whore bots. I've always seen the whore race as PvE because you're not fighting real people. I recognize that there are people that like this though and so a separate PvE system in bots4 might work nicely.

It could be this whole separate part of the game where you (and your clanmates potentially) go off into a dungeon, navigating a top-down map and beating up on trainer-like opponents, possibly obtaining items along the way and of course collecting more trophies/points. This would then help you when you go back and fight other bots in PvP for energy to claim victory in the clan race.

I'm getting way ahead of myself though seeing as there's still so many basic features to finish before adding something huge like this. This stuff is on my radar though.

P.S. Thank you for your non-combative way of bringing up a potentially touchy subject, neps. I pretty much stop reading when I see people only trying to make me out to be a greedy admin. Others could learn from you.
