After doing a simple calculation, it seems that the current point calculation isn't balanced (at least my math says so):
If, for instance, we take an example where the trainbot returns 100 xp.
This means:
100 xp normal -> 250 xp multiplier * 1000 fights-> 250,000 xp = 113 points (kodiac's III)
100 xp normal -> 200 xp multiplier * 2511 fights -> 502,200 xp = 113 points (kodiac's II)
100 xp normal -> 150 xp multiplier * 6277 fights -> 941,550 xp = 113 points (kodiac's I)
As you can see, I am able to get almost 4 times more xp for the same points ammount by purchasing kodiac's I exclusively. The only downside for this is that it will go slower, but who's in a hurry anyway?
This difference has to be balanced somehow or everyone will figure out that it is 4 times more wiser to purchase kodiac's I only and never use the other two.
The costs of the points are at a rate of 10% discount (113 points kodiac's III; 45 kodiac's II and 18 kodiac's I)

I mentioned this in my other thread. The costs seem fine for now whilst points are abundant but won't be so good once everyone starts running out of achievement points. |
|
but who's in a hurry anyway? You'd be surprised. |

no, they aren't good. Anyone that follows common sense will only use Level I and gain 3-4x times more xp and speed time at the same cost.. or anyone that reads this thread at least |
|
And if it were balanced, no one would ever buy Kodiac's I. Ever wonder why express service is more expensive than regular? Time is actually, believe it or not, something people want to save. True, it's obvious from the start that the first tier is the most efficient point-wise, but how many monthly top places do you lose to the guy who uses tier II before you catch up? |

ok, I haven't taken that trophy into consideration, but if that's the only reason they are unbalanced I don't want them to be changed, because I'll always use tier 1 buff and like it. thanks Ender |

Well, if you only use the cheapest ones that cost 20 points then you can buy 50 buffs with 1000 points. That will last you 50000 battles which is a long long time. You'd be able to accumulate enough points during that time to fund higher level buffs. So there is enough reason to buy the higher level buffs because you'll have points to spare if you only buy the cheapest buffs. |

Not everyone is concerned with long term you know, a lot of people just want to see results now, and fast, and with minimal effort. And considering not everyone has the time to train for hours a day, there is nothing wrong with that. |

give me some examples as "gaining points meanwhile" whilst using lower tier buffs? |

fair enough Neps, two reasons that don't make them so imbalanced any longer, I was only trying to point out the cost/quality proportion |
|
Hitting Level X achievements, X number of trains achievements, etc. |
|
I was only trying to point out the cost/quality proportion Well you were right about that. |

Top 10/25/100 levels/energy/clan/wins/monthly energy. 50k battles should get you some of those. Pure trainers get more platinums available at high levels. |
|
another reason for using the more expensive buffs could be when you harvest xp from players. When you find someone that has a good xp/win rate you tend to pass them in lvl too fast or they change there setup and to maximize the gain on those 100/200 fights, you would like to use the best buffs possible. |

This is working as intended. I designed the prices that way on purpose so that you end up having to pay a premium if you want to go "full burn". You sacrifice some buff power if you want to go the point-efficient route. The alternative you seem to be proposing is to make the tier III buffs the most cost-effective. However, this then raises the question of what use the tier I and II buffs would be at that point. Unless I'm missing something, they would truly be 100% useless. |
|
The thing is now, there are just to many points running around. When you have these buffs at level 1. I'd buy them as soon as I got the points for it. Right now, people have just to many. I think it's fine. |
|
Lol, some people have already blown almost all of their points. It's been what, two days? Haha. |

Well, I still try to get my rightful 20x180=3600, that's why I spent them |
|
Don't worry, at least you had the fun of levelling at an insane speed. Fuck tomorrow. |
|
^ get that high today. Fuck work in the morning. Let's party until 3am! Yeaahhhh! |

I don't know if you're trolling, but if you don't, then ^^ |

i leveled much without the buffs anyway, buffs used last 10 levels or so |

*in the last 15-20 days I mean |

I'm sticking with saving my points though. Slow but steady, steady but slow, that's the way to always go. Tomorrow ftw. |
