I just thinking about armors and things above onyx. I know that more defense really can't be added.

What if, after 85% defense, it takes off of their defense?

So let's say you had 90% technically. That would take off 5% of the defenders defense making you hit harder on them. These numbers would be determined before each battle so it wouldn't make the defender's defense under 85%, incase it was, and then they wouldn't take off of your defense.

This might help in adding more armors?

Or, we could make more uniques, like and Onyx Spire clone with 540 STR req, but +20 CON. Just an example.

Please don't make DEX suffer any more than it already does. :(

It doesn't really make much sense to me that by putting on stronger armours you reduce your opponent's defense. Also, if your absorb can't be reduced below 85%, then there would be no point having tons of defense in PvP fights. Besides that I think it would look pretty silly to ever have >100% absorb.

Good idea, but I think the best way of approaching the armour issue is just by a complete overhaul of the absorb formula. Either way, it seems like it will be a while before any changes are made to the balance of the fighting system.

This is an interesting idea, but I think the representation of this in the workshop should be more along the lines of having an armor cap(doesn't matter what) and then have armor pieces(that do cap you) have a special stat of armor ignore.
