weapons and armours that you are too strong for should show the same as the ones you can't afford or dont have the stats for?
anyone agree?

Oh, that you're too strong for, my bad, I'll learn to read. |

forgiven ^^ |

How about if it's too weak for you to use, it just doesn't show up at all. |

It means more calculations when the showroom is loading (slower page load), and the only benefit (except not seeing weapons, which we are used to) is whoring a bot easier. |
|
would be even better to be honest, would really reduce showroom size for higher levels |
|
Couldn't be that much slower load time. One benefit I can think of is when I train, as I level fast I am almost constantly searching for better gear, and if I had to scroll less in those boxes it would save me time and reduce wear and tear on my arm. |

Filtering these wouldn't be a problem performance-wise. I'm not against this idea. The only question is how to implement it. A few options:

this one sounds the best |

That one sounded the best to me too, but I spent some time tonight playing around with this and I'm having second thoughts now. Strikethrough by itself isn't enough of a visual separator because all the item names are already underlined. Throwing in a color looks messy because the convention is already green=normal/white=unique. I tried adding a lower opacity setting into the mix, but couldn't find something that looked good. Also, I happened to be testing on a bot with nearly 400 str, and at that level, almost everything in the showroom is too weak to be equipped. In that case, there might be benefit to just outright hiding the unequippable items. Given those two issues, I'm thinking a workshop setting for this wouldn't be so awful now. Maybe it could have two checkboxes - one for hiding items your bot is too strong to equip (the subject of this thread), and one for hiding items your bot is too weak to equip (not explicitly mentioned in this thread, but closely related). I'll hold off on this for now to think about it some more/see if anyone has anything else insightful to offer. |

I like the idea of more workshop settings to be honest, allows each player to personalize the way they play- depending what suits them best. |
|
It would save a lot of scrolling but it needs to be an option and not a default setting. Buying weapons and armour in advance is by equipping +str and +dex armours is something that is important to players. So personally, I would only use the option to hide weaker equipment. |

Random idea (probably not very helpful): How about 2 drop-down menus that would give a minimum and maximum strength requirement for the armours/weapons you want to see. For example, you could set it to 100 str to 300 str and cut out the caps and Bloodfists but keep the rest. There would have to be a minimum str different of 50 though. By that I mean it would only be possible to look up 250-300 str and not 299-300 str. It would give too much of a showroom advantage. You could theoretically just camp for a specific armour by doing that. Could also add one for dex for weaponry/shields. But I like your idea most so far Ender. I just thought of this and like any person with no self-control, had to throw it out there. |

would like to see something along these lines in the near future possibly ender? |
