Checked through forum via search and couldn't find a similar suggestion so if i'm wrong do please point it out.

What about ability to select a colo(u)r for your clans name like you can with your bots name.

I could probably be swayed either way on this.

On one hand, regular forum goers have learned how strong a signal a user's color actually is (the same probably goes for people browsing fight lists (read: not me)). It somehow becomes ingrained in you that Nosferatu is light blue, Jans is green, dragonrose is purple, and so on. People tend to notice when a regular changes colors, so I think that's evidence enough that they help build meaning/association.

On the other hand, some pages look like a clown barfed on them.

Let the swaying begin!

I think there's already enough colour due to bot and usernames being coloured, adding a clan colour is just going to make it messier.

I have honestly never seen clown barf.

Maybe a drop down box selection of colours instead of the option to do any 1-f rbg so customisation is there but not "too much"?

+1 to the idea though, I do like things looking pristine and neat, clan colours is cool though.
