For chat, IRC channels are the way to go. I'll have more in the documentation about how to go about setting this up for those unfamiliar with that sort of stuff. I also plan on there being a field in your clan profile for designating your clan's "official" IRC channel.

And aye, there will be clan forums.

How difficult would it be to designate a link in a clan profile that creates something like the chat link you have now for the general bots channel?

ie; To connect to QuakeNet IRC and join channel #bots4 as dexsir click 'Join chat'.

Instead the link in the clan profile would be #yourclanchannel

I'm not too familiar with that web client but its an idea.

That's what I had in mind. Not much work.

btw, I vote that basic irc commands be put in that chat link. I never know how to whisper people!
