Silver trophy for top daily, bronze for 2-5. Gold trophy for top weekly, silver for 2-5, bronze for 5-10.

I think this would be a more appropriate way to boost competition during the month rather than Monthly Crescendo which takes away value from the beginning of the month and adds it to the end.
