Does stuff like this happen a lot? That's one of my favorite new features I've come up with.

well happened 2 times today (and i tried to buy something 3 times).

so its 66,66% succes rate. I guess that satans claw and raven caw are quite attractive items, thus harder to camp out with all the competition.

i sent the FU message to both of them lol

I was suggesting that this

I am chatting with few players via skype every day

counted as a skype channel.

I'm ignorant of skype though and don't even know if it supports the idea of channels or just point-to-point communication, so maybe I'm misunderstanding.

Yeah, Skype is only "Call this person." or "Add these people to a group call.", there aren't any channels.

I spent 20 minutes or so today looking into Mumble. I think having a voice chat for the game could be fun. Not anything built-in, but more along the lines of how we currently use IRC where you can join in if you want.

Any particular reason for Mumble over Teamspeak or Ventrilo?

Most of those 20 minutes were spent reading about the differences after Emanuel mentioned it. :P

Long story short, Mumble's overall quality appears to be much higher than that of TS, Vent, Skype, etc. It offers much lower latency and higher voice quality. This video shows the difference between Mumble and Vent nicely.

Well from my personal experience (a lot, both in casual communities and hardcore guilds/clans) and from Googling around ( http://gcguild.net/movie/ventrilo-vs-teamspeak-vs-mumble is a good example) I would say that there's not a noticable difference in voice quality, which makes sense since Speex is the preferred codec for all three. The delay is minor enough that I don't think it really makes a difference. As for features, I would say that Teamspeak is the most rich although my experience with Mumble is rather limited. The one major difference that I can find is bandwidth usage serverside: Vent using the least and Mumble using kind of a ridiculous amount.

Thanks for the info about Vent using the least bandwidth. That's my most limited resource (bots4 typically uses ~70GB of my 200GB monthly quota) and I did see that Mumble uses a lot.
