well yesterday i was able to get on. but today i go to log on and it said i have been blacklisted from webchat.

Maybe someone logged in under your name, acted like a douche and got banned? Very disturbing.

Or perhaps you insulted some mod without knowing it.

What channel are you talking about? If you're talking about #bots4, you're mistaken. The only two existing bans right now are from over half a year ago (and these IPs are not yours):

Well Rithy and me, Zal, banned him from our channel, #clarkscafe. He might be talking about that. But it was pretty warranted.

My channel doesnt even show a ban. Bots4 channel logs dont even show a ban. Neither does eternal logs. So not sure where he is comin from.

no it says i cant even log on to webchat. like on the stats before it pulls up bots4 chat room it says im banned from webchat. so yeah......

It sounds like you were G-lined from QuakeNet, which is something neither I nor anyone else here has any control over. Usually when you try to connect and you're G-lined, it will tell you why. You could post a screenshot if you're still unsure.

Right, a G-line is a global network ban. What text do you see when you try to connect? Post a screenshot?

i cant screen it, im using a library computer atm. but an error comes up saying failed to connect.

All right, well assuming it is a G-line, there's nothing I can do about it. If you post the error message you're getting or a screenshot, I may be able to advise.

It's also possible the library is blocking you. Try from home.

You are not banned. Its just something with your connection. If you would be banned, error message would say it.Message would sound something like "unable to join to channel, you are banned"

Wow you do know the channel has logs right? You do know the logs show nothing of you being banned or kicked right? Get over yourself and stop claiming you were banned. Most likly like ender stated it was the area you were at. Some places like that aka public places DONT ALLOW CHAT TYPE PROGRAMS OR SITES. SO once stated before, you were not banned from the channel. Second off, you cant bann someone fomr a channel with pictures. Hence why Know you werent banned from the irc Channel. SECOND it is possible for you to load the webpage ata so called place but the moment you decide to connect to a out of area place aka out of area ip like that portal it can d/c and kick you from it not allowing you on it. Maybe try a different irc client and/or log in with Q

Webchat works for me too, so you have a few options:

• Login with Q
• Connect with a standalone IRC client like mIRC
• Try connecting from somewhere besides the library

I'd try them in that order.

it just doesnt makes sense as to why i been able to connect from here the day before that message came up ( and many months prior to that ) then i get blocked. but thanks ender ill try that
