I am all for it being pvp, but when you play xbox online etc can someone stop you from playing that? an ac'er could make an account and stop you from playing all day...it's a joke, people should be able to attack eachother but not stop them from playing.

Ya, they're called DDoS hackers.

They could also hack your account.

They could also turn on their auto aim or god mode hacks etc. and aim specifically for you depending on the game you're playing (CoD comes to mind).

This is a game and as such is vulnerable to hackers or cheaters as they all are. You can either hate them, tolerate them, quit, or be their friends. It's part of being on the internet, anywhere.

Its one of the many ways of bots4. Nothing shameful in onlining. ITS CLEVER USAGE OF GAME MECHANICS, WORKING AS INTENDED.

You cannot attack players that are active?

You can attack players that left the game?

You can attack people like Pothead, Xerex etc. only when then sleep (which according to session time is not necessarily every day)?

Ofc you can attack others that are online. It´s just a tactic that some might consider "dirrty".

Hell xerex has been taking a touring test now for 39 minutes..

So then being online would become the defense mechanism and everyone could be X level NaN as long as they checked in every 50 minutes or so when not actively playing. That doesn't sound to be in the spirit of the game...

It kinda goes both ways. On one hand yes, you can't be upset when you happen to get attacked while online, since it's a PvP game after all. On the other hand, repeatedly attacking someone to the point of them being unable to fight and continue playing isn't in the spirit of the game in my opinion.

That's just my two cents

Inferno, assuming you are Mr Ferris Bueller it only took me 2 attacks while you were online before you bmailed me complaining. ITS WRONG and I'm sorry you can all say its "part of the game" but as soon as it happens to yourselves you are bitching and whining just like I am, the trophy is called "DICKHEAD" for a reason, it is the act of a dickhead. When you try to online someone you should get a message saying "Atleast wait until they are offline and let them play my game you fucking idiot". IMO.

Onlining is kind of like people who camp in shooters. I mean there's no rules against doing it, but you're still an asshole if you do.

The point is there's always going to be people who online you, or camp. Just like there are people who do things you don't like irl. There's no way around it really.

Its nothing like campers, atleast they take time to identify good locations where enemies will pass and have their aim in the correct location ready to shoot. Although anyone with a braincell will identify where campers will be, get ready to flash bang and pull out the 12 gauge.

It was originally just me onlining you, Pot. Although I've stopped for a couple of days now. You got other people involved by onlining them out of your frustration toward me. If you flail your anger around at people who have nothing to do with your disputes, you're going to make a lot of enemies. You wouldn't be in this position if you would just take the time to think of the results your actions are going to cause.

Meh, onlining has stopped now (hopefully). I just still disagree with it being part of the game, not many agree with me so fair enough i guess it wont change im just trying to argue against it and to be honest I'm not really seeing any good arguments for it.

Maybe because this isn't a single player game? If you want to see your energy go up by +20 or whatever ever 2 seconds I suggest getting a calculator and going 20 + 20 + 20 + 20 + 20 + 20 etc.

If there was something like say, the inability to attack someone while they are online then people would just keep their bots online constantly. If there was a penalty to it like reduced xp then people would also stay online since they would get less xp from their whores or dumpers. If there was a pay to online option then I'm sure people would pay just to attack someone online.

floR tried pretty much all the options against onlining in bots2. He would even make it so you could only go on 2 bots with the same IP and then you would have to change your proxy to go on a third or else he would ban you. There was also an unattackable state that people abused to stop being onlined. Nothing really helped. The only way to stop online would be to make it cost stars or something useful that people cherish on the game like increased durability loss etc.

Ah that makes loads of sense, the first thing i think when someone pisses me off is I'm going to spend money on them...lol :S
