Ok, the game is hosted on http://www.freerun-net.dk, which seems to be some kind of male-only dating site. There's this guy and this dude for instance. All good looking guys, so i signed up. After creating an account, i was the proud owner of a new empire! I started off with 15 farms and 20 huts. And an army of 100 men, 50 catapults, 20 zeppelins (lolwut) and 20 galleons (woot). First order of business; sell your army on the marketplace.. That's what the tutorial told me to do at least. Then i did some exploration, and thirdly, i had to sell all my grain. This gave me a shitload of money, so now i could start building stuff. After following the beginner's tutorial for a bit, my empire seemed to grow quickly. It is turn based, and with every turn you can focus on exploring (expanding empire), building stuff, farming or trading. Nice, but i want to fight. So i headed over to the war center, because apparently that's where you go to get wars. Unfortunately it told me i was too noob to fight :( So i started building more stuff, until i was out of resources, and couldnt for the love of god find out how to get more. So, on to training troops. After 500 turns though, my noob protection should have worn off, but i still couldnt do anything. Boredom set in, and combined with the rather unappealing look & feel of the game, i logged off. It's extremely text based, and the layout is a mess. A lot of text is centered, which makes it almost impossible to read. And with 30 (!) links, the main menu is even worse than Bots. Usually i kinda like empire / strategy games, but here there's no visualization at all. You have no idea where you're at or who your neighbors are. It's all very stats based. "You have 200 farms. You can build 39 farms. How many do you want to build? __ [begin construction]". And the tutorial, meant to get you started, made little sense. Start off by selling everything you have.. ok.. |

Well thanks for testing it sir. Now I donΒ΄t have to try it myself. |

Sounds a lot like earth2025 back in the day. Turn based, wit hthe intention of increasing your networth. |
