The Centurion : One shot of beer per person, every minute, for 100 minutes.

Deceivingly difficult.

It's a 'minigame' if you like. Played during or between others. I made a website before dedicated to actual drinking games for students, it was quite epic considering I know fuck all about coding and web design. Problem being I had it all for free including the hosting, so it expired after a while. When I've got more time I'll pop some ideas for actual games here.

sphinx, centurion is awesome. i went the extra mile when i played it and every 10th shot was vodka. didnt make it past 70-80ish...lol

i've also been training my liver for university throughout this summer, and have ended up playing a ton of drinking games... ill list/link some good ones!

'hitler drinking game' is really good and well thought out, but you kind of need to have the rules written down the whole time when you play it lol. its a lot like 'ring of fire' http://www.haxed.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=56633.0

'guess the card' is the most simple drinking card game ever, me and my friend made this up as a joke game to play when we were really drunk. basically one person has the deck facedown in his hand, says "guess the card" and the other person has to guess it. if he guesses wrong, he drinks, and guesses right, dealer has to down his drink. this game is really good for hurried/rushed pre-drinking sessions.

the best drinking games though i think are ones where you drink along to stuff. for british people, you might have heard of the 'withnail and i' drinking game (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094336/). you are supposed to drink along with the two main characters throughout the film. its almost impossible to do if you drink the same as them and probably dangerous, just switch everything for cans/shots/bottles.

we played world cup final drinking game, just made up rules for that like drink whenever its out of play, down it for a goal, any woodwork hit you have to drink, yellow card drink, red card down it, anytime ball changes possession to the other team, drink. shit like that.

political debates are also good to drink to. the best was in the electoral debates we had two teams, each picked key words and if those words were said - the other team has to drink. ('education' is not as hot as you'd think)

also drinking along to stuff like jurassic park or lord of the rings, or star wars and drinking whenever someones killed or you see a dinosaur, or a hobbit, or a jedi... whatever. just get your friends, pick a film you all want to watch and make up some simple rules! its good fun and everyone gets fucked up.

Never Have I Ever.

Best played in mixed company. Sit in a circle, with your drinks, and go around and say something you've never done. If you've done it, you drink. It gets the freaks really drunk really quick, which is just win.

I was doing that last week as another minigame. Obviously we got some of the usual sex stories out of the way. Turns out that one of my mates shat himself within the last month though, and while running. That game truly teaches you things you didn't know about your closest.

Watch a game, pick teams, then down a shot every goal/point/whatever. Its especially fun when one team sucks and a huge gap ensues.

Circle of Death: all cards are randomly laid down in a circle, heads down, with an awfull hidious drink/mix of drinks in the middle. Take your turn and pick a card and basically have to drink with every card (or someone else). Break the circle and you have to drink the drink in the middle. BEAST.

I love drink-along games, the world cup was awesome hahah :)

Me and all my mates play a game regularly called 'Fives' whether we're in or on a night out. It's a very simple game, and always gets a laugh.

It begins with all the players standing in a close circle with one arm outstretched into a fist, as though you're about to play rock paper scissors. The rules are simple, whoevers turn it is, has to call out a number that is divisible by 5 only, and at the exact same time - everyone participating has to either open their hand into a palm, or keep it as a fist. A quick add up of all the 'fives' determines whether that player was correct or not.

(For example if there is 5 players, the numbers you can call are 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25)

If a player called 15, and only three players (including himself) have their hands open in a palm, then he is correct, and is removed from the game.

If a player called 25, and all players opened out into a palm, again he would be correct, and would be removed from the game.

Similarly if a player called zero to be cheeky, and everyone keeps their hands in a fist, then he would again be correct. All simple yes?

If a player gets the call wrong, he stays in the game, and it's now the turn of the player on his left. Whether the person before you is correct or not, everyone must keep their hand in the position it was in from the last call. The aim is to be correct and get out. As people are correct, the number of players fall. And so do the maximum available number of 'Fives' .. when it's down to two people, you can obviously only pick 0, 5 and 10. The last person has to do whatever the punishment is, in our case its usually downing the full drink.

It seems boring and confusing, but its hard to explain over text. It's actually a very fast paced and sly game, because there is no warning when a player calls out his number guess. You have to keep alert and when he says a number, just react with your choice in 'zero or five' instantly.

Think of it as Rock, Paper, Scissors, but without the "3 .. 2 .. 1 .." before each round. Make sense?

'Presidents and Assholes' - Best played with 4+ people, divide a deck of cards evenly between everyone. Rules, players take turns playing cards with ascending value(2-ace, aces high). Doubles are worth more than a single ace, triples worth more than double aces. The goal is to get ride of all your cards. First player is decided on who has the 3 of clubs.

However, twist; 2's clear the pile and 7's are socials(everyone drinks). Playing the same card as the person before you 'skips' the person after you.(and they have to drink) Laying the same double in a row is a double skip. If you can't play, you drink.

If everyone passes to play a card and it returns to the original player, the pile is cleared and he/she can lay what they like.

The first person to get ride of all their cards is now the 'president', 2nd is VP. The last person remaining is the 'asshole', usually this involves wearing a stupid helmet. The president can assign drinks at any time and the asshole has to clear the pile when necessary and deal the next round.

If you are president 3 times in a row, you can make a rule that applies at all times. IE, speaking in questions/pirate, ect.

'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''

A much more simpler game that to my knowledge doesn't have a name is where you take of pitcher of alcohol(beer, mixed drink, w/e) and line up 6 shot glasses in a row and each assigned a number 1-6. You roll a dice and if the glass is empty with that number, you fill it up. If full, you drink it. (easier if you assign one person the be the filler)

Note; playing this with mixed drinks means you get drunk really fast.

Nice Draoi. I like the first for house party drinking, and the second for pre-night-out drinking.

I find that the simple games are always most effective. Anyone can just come and play, no rules to throw down, and you should all get drunk fairly easy.

Another simplicity, though it's not a game, to agree with everyone that if someone has a penny dropped into their drink by anyone else, it must be finished within 10 seconds regardless. Keeps everyone on their toes. Full pints are a killer when it keeps happening. A stomach is only so big after all :)

Rules are == No swearing, no pointing, no saying names, don't break the circle (all a drink penalty if broken)

2 = Nominate 1 to drink
3 = Nominate 2 to drink
4 = drink to the left
5 = drink to the right
6 = A Ship sailed into the harbour (carrying sometbhing that everyone else has to name a type of until they can't and then that person must drink)
7 = Thumb master (Basically you have to put your thumb on your forehead when he does, last to do this drinks)
8 = Toilet Card (can't go toilet without one)
9 = Question master (Bascially you can ask questions and if somebody answers they drink, being sneaky helps in this)
10 = Rule card (Pretty much make up whatever rule you like to do with the cards)
J = Snake eyes (If you look the person who draws snake eyes in the eyes you drink)
Q = Nominate 3
K = Add to the vessel (this is where you add to the drink in the middle of the cards, last person to draw a king has to drink the vessel)
A = Waterfall (everybody drinks until the person on there right stops drinking or your drink runs dry)

There are MANY variations of the rules and the cards, but these are just the basic ones i like to play with. The best game
