By clearing your screen of everything else and making sure you don't do anything else productive while playing bots, that is pretty much the key to success.

it wasn't caught whilst I still had interest in this. it is pretty much obvious that you raise some kind of suspicion when you are online for 10 hours a day, every day

IP ban would be good for me, i wouldn't have to mentally block out your/his posts. They would simply disappear all together.

I'd say it would, I don't believe you would be smart enough to come up with a new way to get onto bot's after ip ban.
