I'm so happy, I received my little seedlings in the mail today,

I got some yesterday today and tomorrow seeds, its such a gorgeous plant that flowers a different coloured flower everyday! I also got some pitcher plant seeds, never had a carnivorous plant before until now, I wonder how they will grow.

Ohh I can't wait, enough of my ramblings though, for now

My dad got me into gardening, he was in the fire brigade and the army, he tells me stories of people die'n in his arms from time to time, and how he has saved many peoples lives, so saying that you don't like those things based on because you have a dick, is pretty annoying.

Fucking pwnd Nos right there, my grandad is also a WW2 vet, spent 6 years in a Jap POW camp, has some fucking scary stories, funny ones too! He turned my grandparents whole back yard into a vege garden for many years, now unfortunately he's a bit too old for that kinda thing :(

My dad was an avid gardener as well, and I'm pretty sure he had a dick.

Different culture, different species I guess. My dad also was in the Army, served in Vietnam. Has plenty of "lovely" stories such as driving along in his jeep and hitting some rough road just to get to the base and notice a dudes head inside the wheel base. So don't try to pander to me by saying this type of shit. It won't work. He was also a typical man. I remember my mom starting a garden once and he had to actually care for it. That didn't last long.

My mom has loads of plants and flowers and enjoys gardening, it is a therapy for her, like a hobby and very calming, and she is neither lonely nor pathetic O_o

I hate gardening but each to his/her own, personally it's just that I can't be bothered and there are plenty of other things I prefer doing.

My grandad had an acre behind his house and used to grow all of his own veg, it was pretty awesome but right now don't have anywhere near enough room or time to invest in that sort of gardening commitment.

I think you're in the minority here Nos although I appreciate your point of view.

My great grandad was in the navy and was on the ship that sank some german flagship (I'll have to ask the mother next time I speak to her as to which one) and he also grew his own fruit and veg in his back garden. Personally I think it's a typical therapeutic hobby for someone that's served in the forces as it's definitely very calming.
