I'm not 100% sure. I think it was given to accounts that were made before a certain date somewhere in the open beta, or maybe it had to do with activity in the beta.

After looking at some of my bots I'm definitely leaning towards activity rather than a certain date.

In case you missed the news from September 28th last year:

Ding 10,000! bots4 reached 10,000 accounts yesterday afternoon. This game wouldn't exist without the great community that supports it, so thanks for playing and being awesome. In celebration of this momentous occasion, the 1,854 bots that have been active in the past week have been awarded a unique buff. :)

i didnt like the 10k speed buff.... i actually like to watch fights to some degree

I used it for the level 1 infant fights and saved some Aura of Eternity for later.
