Yeah, there's a bug where some people can bypass the limit. In any case, I've never been too strict about enforcing that rule.

There are always hard and soft rules in thing through life. If the soft rules are taken advantage of too much and cause a breakdown of something too much then it can be made a hard enforceable rule. I don't see how neps logging 8 or so bots in is breaking anything.

And it's not unfair either because I'm sure the bug has been discussed in the forum at some point so if one was actually curious they could search and find it. But I believe it's using 5 on IE, 2 (or more maybe) on FF, 2 (or more) on chrome too, then you have one on Opera, safari, etc other browsers...

With opening and closing Firefox (etc.) you can actually log on as many as you can within a 15 minute period.

Well it does prevent someone from logging on a shit ton of bots just to make the server lag or whatever malicious things could come of it.

once again theres many ways around it even if the script did work. So all and all there really isnt one true way to stop it.

Yeah. At the moment, this is exactly what happens. It prevents what it intends to prevent, and lets inconsequential things slide without snagging them on a technicality. If only all laws were like this.
