If I bought 10 stars would I get 1800 trophy points or 180????

Yep, it's 180 points per star regardless of whether they're bought separately or in bulk, so you would get 1,800 points.

All Star is a special case in that it's not repeatable in terms of platinum trophy count, but it is repeatable in terms of trophy points. If this gives you a headache, know that it gives me one too and has been the cause of a couple of weird bugs. :) I'd like to eventually change it to be easier to understand and not require it to be a special case.
