I was talking a bit with Cali on chat today about bots2. How the game used to be played, all the players that were in it. It really was an amazing time to play bots. There is no records left of the old bots days (outside of whats left on Eds website)

I was thinking we should all take some time and write a couple pages about the old clans in bots2 for keepsake. As far as bots2 history goes, I know Jans and gr33n have a ton of knowledge that they can share. My knowledge goes back to Black and White, and not even the birth of the clan. It was founded by Nodus and -=[D.I.D]=- but I never met them. Maybe someone has?

Anyhow I'd be willing to write a pretty good report on the rebirth of Rapture, the rivalry of Immortalis and Black and White. What players did what just so we could have a written journal of the past. I think it would be really cool to have.

Sounds like a good idea. I had a few dozen answerer bots. I'd run a bot to answerers and start a new one. Always trying to be better, faster, stronger on the next bot. My main bot was Dashani of 12 monkeys and was only with 12 monkeys for a short time. There was always a full playground; sometimes even full servers that eventually lead to purchasing stars for priority login. The days of building a 2x shield con bot for amusment seem to be over. There was a colorful variety of methodical madness amung builds. Ender, isn't it about time you added the "easy" button to share bots4 on Facebook?

All's I know was there was this old clan 12Monkeys, I heard they was the best.

You could do so much more with clan profiles in BOTS2 :P A whole load of formatting was just ignored there :|

And the team that built George, the first lvl 200 bot. Which was hacked and fucked up in 2004 (notice the password showing at 'country'). And Esmifra later tried to delete him. But after the 2nd team took him to lvl 235, he lived on to win 30+ tournaments \o/

I stopped essie deleting george too :P He sure hated that bot ^^

& btw you only won so many tournies because the formula was fucked ;)

Any formula that makes it impossible for the highest level bot to win is not good. Really interested to see what wiggin's formula looks like, being as he suffered the most from flor's one ^^

Of course the rules for cat 1 were fucked, but that didn't have to stop anyone from building a suitable bot to challenge George. But that never happened. ActiveX was meant to, right? But continued leveling :)

my favorite part about bots2 was the clan competition. just to make the top 10 was a big achievement in that game. I also miss the people. I was like 12 when I was playing that game, I used to look up to kinjin always quietly running a kewl DW clan and stu00 who used to give me advice and help me with wars and stuff. I also miss twiztid and slice/wishmaster. bots2 was the shit!
