how are you US folks handling it? I've heard it has the worst implications in the US.. birds and cattle are being hormone fed, vitamins and minerals are being stripped from foods etc.

What is the general consensus about this slow death everyone is part of?

Not trying to be too cynical here, but it's just how I am.

What do you expect when populations have expanded at the rate which they havehave. Of course the populous can't have a unified mind that populations can only be so big before the downward trend begins. Such seems to be where the world in general is today. No one besides China really has an active stand against over population. Yes birth control has helped, people still get their jollies off while not worrying about offspringoffspring, but then you have the part of the population that doesn't care, won't go through the effort, or actually want a farm full of children as if they were going to lose half of them before they reached adulthood like in the past.

So... To feed these populations agriculture needs High yields, and further organization of planting rows isn't going to do it anymore. I wiki'd the codex and agree with slow food which was linked to the codex page.

GMO seems to be born from necessity just from a quick look.
