When I opened chrome browser today it told me my bots extensions were deactivated and can't be reactivated. Anyone have a work around then clamping down on third party stuff?

They can be made 'official' pretty easily, I dont have internet ATM but maybe someone with decent web knowledge can collate them and get them on the chrome app store.

Try installing tampermonkey then installing them with that, I'm not sure how it works but I play another text based browser game which has a large extension library and the person who made those got his to work this way as soon as google broke them.

I second DNM. Using TamperMonkey in Chrome is a good way around this.

Don't install tampermonkey with Chrome. You'll be accused of cheating.

[citation needed]

In the interest of combating blatant misinformation for anyone worried about being labeled a cheater: this is a false statement and you have nothing to worry about if you are abiding by the rules. Simply installing tampermonkey will not get you in trouble unless you use it for more nefarious purposes. Using it for published extensions is 100% fine.

I pride myself on having a 0% false positive rate in punishing cheaters. I only act on ironclad evidence of wrongdoing because I know what it's like to play a game where players are punished seemingly randomly: it sucks.

I may look into this tamper monkey then and redownload those extensions...again.
