So...Just csed my 3 bots. Best i could.

I gained ~250 on my main and ~100 each on the other two.
Now...I'm sunk for 45 minutes...

So..
What if it were
Energy_per_hour = ((Days in month * 1.5) - (current_day+20);
This would last until the 9th if there is a 31 day month. Then it would revert back to 20.

Hm.. That's just a fancy way of saying you want to increase energy insertion. By a huge amount.

Honestly, this isn't a problem anymore after a few hours. Just deal with it.

And if energy regen does need variation, i'd opt for something like this:
Energy_per_hour = 40 - 1.5 * (current_day - 1)

Day 1: 40/h
Day 31: none

If it is energy gain : 0 on the last day, then nobody will play the last ~5 days of the month because it will be statically better to play hard the first weeks of the month.
There should be a minimum.

Just wait a bit for when there is a healthy number of bots. I'm doing my bit by making a whore bit clan, and it does seem to work and they are always getting attention
