You can now demote yourself in clans. This means, for example, that you no longer have to wait for a clan leader to come online to demote your bot to NC, if desired. Thanks to Scabara for the suggestion.

This was probably the easiest way to implement, but everyone now has an extra column in his clan profile, which is basically empty, except for a mysterious letter "D" with their own name. Interface-wise perhaps not the best way to go :P

How about the way it was done in Bots2?

You could replace this:
"Leave - Call it quits, quitter."

With:
"Step down - Become an NC (Non Competitor)"

And once they're an NC, show the leave-option.

Agreed with Jans, what he said is how I intended and how I assumed you would implement it. That being said, yay for awesomely quick new feature implementations!

I agree the interface is a little clunky, but since NC is going away soonish and because I'd like to revamp the interface for this functionality anyway, I think I'll leave things as is since it works for now.

Sorry for the trouble. :\ I'm unfortunately at work right now and won't be able to look at this until late-ish tonight, but I will get to it.

I mistakenly thought this was only affecting one clan and didn't realize it affected the main clan rankings page, so I've manually corrected the database by reinstating the demoted owner. I still won't be able to get this fixed in code until tonight, so please don't trigger this again in the meantime. If it does get triggered, those of you that have my contact info are welcome to email/text (FB messages can take 30 minutes to trigger a notification, so those aren't ideal).

Okay, you should no longer be able to demote yourself as clan owner; you need to first promote someone to owner now.
