bots4

bots4 is a spinoff of bots2. This reincarnation is being developed from scratch by me, Ender. You may have known me from before as either the owner of Bots Unauthorized or as Project X. I started this project in Februrary 2010. Closed beta ran from September 29, 2010 to March 7, 2011. Open beta ran from March 7, 2011 to June 30, 2011. The game was then reset and officially "released" on July 1, 2011.

bots2

bots2 was created by Rolf "floR" Raven and ran from 2002 to 2010. The details of what happened in its final days are not clear, nor are the reasons for it being shut down. I don't want to speak for floR, so I'll just say that someone with malicious intent got into the database and floR did not restore the game.
