Hey guys/girls,

Ever since day one in Bots2 I've been a fan of STR builds, brutally mauling my opponents to a bloody death gives me great satisfaction, however, now that Bots4 is here I'm in two minds as to what to class as my "main" bot.

I'm kindly asking for any "knowledgable" players to post their ideas for a Lvl 80-100 STR build, and also for a DEX build please. Pro's and Con's to the Builds would be a HUGE thank you, but not compulsary.

Dex bots are tricky. They can be really mean if you know exactly what you're doing. Otherwise just go strength.

pretty sure dex builds get ownd all day.

might have to set your sights on a higher level, it'll take you till about lvl 140 before you start being able to wear even halfway decent armour, a real arse area for dex bots. so:

this shouldn't be too bad, with 70% block, 55% absorb 1180 hp and avg ~500 damage you might be able to handle the eight or so rounds it would take to take down a str bot,

Go ballanced with extra con so that you can last even longer in a fight.

When you get to the high levels (180-200+), cut back on the con and switch to a shield with one weapon. But keep going ballanced. Not exact ballanced, build to be able to use the best weapon and shield.

High level training bots built for leveling generally go ballanced because they can last longer against the higher level training bots. I got up over level 240 in bots 2 and stayed ballanced as did many if not most of the other high(er) levels...

I agree, level 140 or so str bots are good for cs but not much good for leveling too high.

DarkNinjaMaster that is one of the worst dex builds i have seen... Rattle cage? for god sake... at that level non unique would be WAAAAAAAAAY better. And the snappers? wtf... blood bather all the way...

next to that: there are some decent dex builds with ~90 str and high dex on lower levels...

why doesnt anyone seem to understand that it is of no use having so much dex that your block goes over 70%? that's just wasting stat points in my opinion...

Level 31-50
Fighting -> Balanced
Training -> Strength

Level 51-75
Fighting -> Strength
Training -> Strength

Level 76-100
Fighting -> Strength
Training -> Strength

level 101-150
Fighting -> Strength
Training -> strength balanced (toward 130+)

level 151-200
Figthing -> Strength
Training -> balanced

level 200+
fighting -> balanced
Training -> balanced

The sad thing is, you could go with just about any str build and beat these bots easily. I'm not kidding, even conned conquerer's axes are way better :/

Gief Dex builds a damage buff? :D Seems the days of Dex builds at end levels are far behind us, feels sad to have to jump on the STR band wagon :(

yeah it'd be nice if there could be a real tight dex vs str rivalry.

Because there so isn't, str pwns dex until high level.

I hope Ender brings back the Tourny's, then maybe we can see some Dex spin offs kicking the roid filled str bots ass :D

And then the ballanced bot will kick the paper thin skinny dex bots ass. :p

Mainor has a valid point. What is the point in adding to dex when there are no more shields available to get? None and that was always my philosophy... Get the top shield and then add to str and con and go for the top armors. But then at that point a ballanced will most likely already have the best armors too so it doesn't matter.

Interesting theories on the Dex vs Str situation. I'm leaning towards STR purely because there isn't any valid fights for the Dex side of Bots.

I'm not even sure there's a place for Dex in the game right now, the only time you can use it is at the very later levels....Anybody think there should be a buff to Dex's damage output so that it brings more viable play styles to the Game pre Level 150?

Just a thought ^^ I don't like to see Dex as a "wasted" stat :(

Nice of you to tell us your name twice :p But yeah, it would be nice to see dex bots get a buff, but that's unlikely to happen before the release AFAIK.

I tried to come up with a lvl60-lvl80 balanced/dex build but str is too strong in this region. Nothing compares to equalizers and answerers in that range.

Next to that, there are definitely some nice lvl 80 dex/balanced bots. However, pure dex as in compared to the pure strength does indeed not work, simply because the blockrate caps at 70%. This makes it very important to think ahead and calculate them. I'll try and make a nice dex build soon. Also, dex bots do have an advantage: people do bot like attacking/raping you often, it just takes to long :)

oh and Int, the builds you posted are not bad, but still need a non-unique body armour. This hightens the absorb by 5-10% (A LOT) while you only lose like 6 stat points...

Balance to get Death Pulse (301) (348) and then just Con and Dex with awesome shield xD

No, it's 412 str for full kevlar, then dex up to 590 for total annihilator, then the rest in int while maintaining 70% blockchance. Minimum base con.

so if you build a balanced bot, would it be better to use two weapons or a weapon and a shield?

it depends on how high your block chance goes with a shield,

for fighting i personally don't use shields till my block goes up to 58% anything less just doesn't seem to cut it

for training I use a shield as soon as my bc goes up to 50% as the extra blocks add to exp gain.
