If I'm acquiring stars from someone, as outcome of a market deal, will I be getting the trophy points as well (180 for every star)?

I doubt it, as the person that bought the stars already received the "points".

well I can say from experience that I bought 9 stars and got the points for them on another account. Secondly, I want to make sure if this policy changed so I refrain from doing market deals so I don't spend the money and not get points in return, as they are very important now.

because you were talking against each other and like I said, I already went through this and I received the points for buying the stars with money and I just want to know if this was changed since the implementation of the buffs.

The answer has not changed since then and the policy has always been to not move the trophies/points.

And btw, I much prefer these questions be asked publicly then sent to me privately, even if they do get repeated every so often. That way everyone can see what I say, plus I read the forum daily and bmailing me won't get you a faster response.

That first thread was slightly different. Having stars made permanent on another account vs. this one when you actually buy for cash stars from someone else. Ok, clearly set now.. although it will discourage market transactions slightly

Well .. that person didn't change the points and I bought the stars :| .. i have like 15 stars which were made permanent yesterday but couldn't make us of any of those platinum points :( .. and that bot wont even use them :((
