How long does it take for a star to show up after donating?

Unfortunately PayPal modified their system that handles automatic payment notification and I still need to update my code to handle their changes, so for now star assignment is unfortunately manual. I'm usually able to give them out within an hour or so unless I'm asleep or very far from a computer (the latter was the case this time).
