I would like the option to extend that privilege to the highest rank below owner.

Agreed. Make it a setting, like the others.

Also, semi-on-topic; i would really really like it if more than just one person could have the top rank.

Reasons for this are simple;

• if you co-own a clan, you need to be equals.
  Having the same perms, but being a lower rank, does not equal equality
• it frees up a rank for other purposes

I know the top-rank is linked to being the clan's owner - but that could be changed, surely. Like 'founder' isn't connected to a rank either, so could 'owner' be disconnected.
