My friend introduced me to this game. She told me she's been playing for 10+ years. I'm finding that this is quite the fun game to play and it gives me something to do on the side during down time in the office.
Some info about myself:
I'm from the U.S but currently reside/work in China.
I haven't really played anything text based in about 14 years. I played some MUDS back in the 90s (middle school) and a couple of other websites (to be honest I can't recall any of their names). But seeing how this community is quite active also makes more interested in playing.
The only other game I also play now is Star Craft 2. Lots of my friends play LOL but I never got into that game... I also used to be very active into MMORPG's (Final Fantasy XI/WoW) but I haven't had time lately to get into those.
I like me some Anime/Manga. I like Star Trek > Star Wars (I feel it's more original and Roddenberry is a better human being than George Lucas).
Still learning a lot about this game and getting accustomed to things, any tips would be greatly appreciated Orz.

There's a bots academy clan. It's really a good choice to join and learn with the person who's running it (Fishwick). After you got the hang of how this game works, you can choose a clan to join. I stated the best choices here so you can have an idea of what are the real clans here, since some are owned just by one person and others are utility clans (bots that have some function to aid the main bots). Well, I hope you enjoy the game :)
Btw, who is your friend? The only females I'm remembering that play this game for ages are dragonrose and jules (these are their nicknames).

Also The Reason is opening up it's doors to new members, the clan is owned by otto (TheCause) but he is now wanting a clan that is able to compete instead of him just doing all the work :) so bare that in mind when making a clan choice.

I like how this thread turned into a "Join this clan!" thread when he said absolutely nothing about clans. Hi there though and welcome to the game. Excuse the politics of these clans, it is election day after all :P

To date, Kakapalooza is still one of the most luxurious clans of all of bots4. Unfortunately our past achievements and accomplishments have been stripped away because some dumb bitch forgot to add treasury. Our knowledge and understanding of the game mechanics are out of this world and have given us the respect and recognition of many.
We might have a place open for you in our great institution but only if you decide to level to at least level 104. Ratio, wins and stuff don't matter to us man, just be sure to dump your energy on hayabassie.
