die camping!!!

on a 4 hour camping streak but nothing that I need showed up.
In exchange, full of Troll Shoes, Manic Craniums, Satans Claw and all those rare items that I once needed but never came up when I was camping for them. Now? Everytime I refresh one of them comes up but nothing that I need. This is insane

I've noticed the same thing happening to me :P

I can train hours in a row, whilst doing other things, to make it less painful, but yet I have to camp hours and hours and actually pay attention every bloody minute to what spawn in the showroom although I got 15 stars stacked on my account. This infuriates me to no end

I can't read a God damn article to end because I have to alt-tab every 60 seconds to refresh the darn showroom

And you know what the best thing is? The camping stars all over every level, now I hate leveling too.

camping isn't really all that bad... 2nd window beside primary window works wonders.

I really cannot afford the time to pay attention to what spawns in the shop. Training is totally different, it takes 0.5 seconds to identify the correct link whilst you have to actually scroll down through the items in the armor/weapon lists + refresh it every 60 seconds, or you might lose the items in that fraction of a second you didn't look. This is a true pain of the game when being high level. PAIN

ok, added 1-2 hours to the above mentioned period of shopping whilst I couldn't do anything else.
Bottom line: 2 satans claws, 2 iron pelts, 3 troll shoes, 1 raven caw and a lot of other "rare"items but no single Opal Threads or Mystery Gloves. I'm totally annoyed

woops, just missed Opal Threads because I was crazy enough to write this post on the forum. I really deserve it, not being 100% dedicated to the showroom the whole Sunday. "part of the game" pfft

You can order a full suit of Kevlar all at once, and I trust it won't break in a day, so that should solve your problems. Goodbye camping!

too bad I don't need Kevlar stuff and no one ever does for leveling. So no, that wont save the problem, but thanks for the suggestion.

I wouldn't say no one ever does, all of my training bots will be in full kevlar when they have enough strength.

all the old high lvl bots used kevlar :P

well after a few hours of this thread, it finally mounted to something.

Kevlar > Whatever the hell op was/is camping.

Probably best not to generalize brother, I don't use kevlar yet because I need the stats, but will use it eventually in a few dozen levels. Probably the gist of this thread is something like this:

If you can't camp, don't use uniques.

P.S. I have no problem camping. Part of the game ever since, and don't expect or want it to go away.

I think that it is pretty much obvious why very few people use kevlars on their trainbots, mostly because they don't have stats or they don't afford to not have the +stats given by unique, in my case, ~+30 of INT. I am everything but inexperienced, but I'm not mad for your supposition Neps, someone has to troll the thread anyway.

You obviously have no idea how things work in the 200+ levels. When you have a thousand or more stat points to work with, you think the few measly extra stat points a unique armor brings you is going to matter? You want absorb, and full Kevlar is the highest absorb armor set you can get. Kevlar at that point is the obvious choice for effectiveness, not just for convenience and durability.

Around 180, the defense of kevlar takes into account over the stats in her items, or opals. I've never heard of anyone using opal since i've been here in early 06.

When you have 412str,400dex,200con,200int. That extra +5 of con/int or whatever doesn't even help. But that extra ~250 points in defense really does. Instead of taking ~1000 damage from a trainer, you only take lets say ~700. What would that 5 points in con/int do? Nothing.

what you are saying is pretty obvious, but since I'm no level 200+ that cannot be take into account.

On a second note, I have nothing more to add to this thread. I managed to get an information from Ender after countless posts ans whining, instead of additional stars and qualification times, the achievment system will help this out. Now that I got a hold of this, I'll thank Ender for letting me get messy thinking he doesn't want to do anything about it

Really now. So you wait six days for all your unique armors? Or just buy whatever is in the showroom when you do come to pay that rare and quick visit?

By the way skipper, another solution:

-> Train only one hour/day

-> Armors last at least six days = enough to order a full suit and two weapons with one-day ordering

-> Never "have to camp" again!
