So the general battle of PvE (fighting whores) and PvP (me fighting you) deserves it's own thread I believe.

The current suggestions relating to this are to nerf int and energy gain which I think is great for me because I love the real wars, but it's apparent that a fair amount of players loved the CS race of Bots2 and would want that to come back. These suggestions would also make it pretty much DOA for any new player who makes a clan and isn't a perfect freak build.

In most online games I've seen there's either a distinct separation between PvE and PvP (they're on different servers or different game modes altogether) or they are nicely integrated together (just don't go into the wilds, click "activate PvP mode" or w/e if you don't want to PvP).

I'm not sure if it's fair to force people to participate in real war just because they want to be in a clan, especially new players who don't have the knowledge to create and sustain perfect builds and make ratio and kudos whores to advantage themselves etc.

Now I'm all for older established players having an advantage in the game, but I'm also for catering for/attracting new players and I think these suggestions will do the opposite unfortunately.

I don't actually have a suggestion, which is why this is in misc, I'd just like to get a discussion going on what perhaps could be done so people can participate in clans without getting their asses raped off if they aren't perfect freak builds, which is what will happen if the above suggestions are implemented.

tl;dr: You suck at reading.

One simple solution, and I've mentioned it earlier, is taking energy from other bots as a percentage, not this little 18-24 formula (which is pretty much how it works out). If a bot has 100,000 energy, each win against it should earn more energy than a bot that has 100 energy. Yes it will create a pass-around cycle, but it will be clans warring other clans and not picking on the weaklings, since they won't be worth it.

i like this idea. say you beat a bot with 100,000 energy, and say, you could beat him 100% of the time, you'd have NO way of taking it all, or even a large chunk. 2400 at a maximum 1600 at minimum. and thats if you win every fight

Possibly an option to turn off your xp/hour gain? That way if you do participate, it can be taken back but you don't generate any on your own.

You keep saying this but I don't think it will work, nor do I like this idea. Not unless the percentage taken is based on something other than total amount of energy they have.

Anything that completely removes you from possibly leveling is a bad idea in my opinion and shouldn't be an option. Perhaps a reduction, which Ender has suggested, but never a complete removal.
