Confirmed: I haven't found any evidence of these claims. If I'm wrong and you've deceived us all, well done. FWIW, there were several reports like this about a couple players last month - after investigating, none of them panned out.

Moderators typically only close threads in the marketplace after a sale has completed or rant threads that get out of control.

Perhaps moderators don't typically close threads like this but when trolls start name calling owners worth anything do close them.

Moderation is generally pretty hands off here, which is more a reflection of my frustration in the past when participating in other over-moderated forums. There are some posted rules which are sometimes invoked if things get out of control,

If there are any genuine followup questions about forum moderation on this game, please reach out to me directly instead of making comments here about mods being lazy and worth nothing...and yeah, I transitioned from saying moderation is hands off to then saying to specifically not talk about something. :)

I'm not sure what there is to talk about in the thread though, Osh asked a question to Ender, which he also could've done in bmail, Ender answered, and then Osh asked for the thread to be closed. Theoretically this thread should've belonged in a bmail to begin with.

The only thing open to interpretation is that the thread isn't closed and how one person thinks I own all the bots on the game aka something someone pulled out of their butt.

And generally speaking I never cared about your rules anyway Ender. They are mostly meant to make your life easier. Overmoderation isn't a thing when there's obvious necroing of a thread that should've been closed and the thing said wasn't even about the thread to begin with.

But whatever, you never cared about anything anyone ever thought about your game anyway. That's why the suggestions forums is super long with pretty much 0 implemented.

Could you possibly whine about anything more trivial? What are you even still doing here, I thought you quit/gave up on the game because the big bad playerbase doesn't like the majority of your ideas. At least when you complained about people giving rational thoughts about why your ideas suck there was some substance to it. I don't think anybody could possibly reach as far into Ender's bottomless pit of patience as far as you have, so you can stop as the record isn't going to be broken.

The rules exist because (if memory serves, it's been a few years) some bad stuff happened at the time they were posted that needed to be dealt with in a principled way with public guidelines for all to see. There's context/history there. It does make my life easier to have a standard set of guidelines that are enforced. I don't see that as a bad thing.

As for the rest of your comment, I have to agree with Gpof - if this game isn't your cup of tea, then just move on instead of suffering here. At this point I should probably add this to an FAQ or something, but just in case there's anyone new here reading this that wants to know what expectations I set as the game's admin:

This is an ongoing hobby project. It will always be a work in progress to some extent and progress has been slower at certain points, but the 8+ years of updates documented on the announcements pages (1, 2) speak for themselves IMO. I try to maintain a generally ~daily presence on bmails/forums and do my best respond to bugs and issues quickly, keep the game fast and stable and bug-free, etc. In exchange for all this, I only ask that you enjoy this free web game and have fun. For some this is enough, but I understand it's not for all: If it's not enough for you, then you're probably better off finding a different game that offers what you're looking for.
