To help keep the creative spark Fish started with last months competition, I wanted to host one and expand on the idea. As you may already see in the rules, there won't be workshop freaking this time in hopes that it's inviting to more people since I know it gets confusing for some. It is also much easier to verify if builds are within the competitions ruleset which helps me be lazy. Last but not least, there are runner-up prizes so you don't need to be the sweatiest builder to get something out of it!

RULES

• Level 63
• Only one entry per person.
• No workshop freaking.
• 150k kudo limit per armor piece.
• 1 free armor piece with no cost limit.
• No weapon or shield cost limit.
• 1 extra item allowed in your stash that also follows the prior limitations.

PRIZES

Placements are based on tournament category 14 results relative to other entrants of this competition.

• 1st Place: 10 temp stars OR 2 perm stars
• 2nd Place: 5 temp stars
• 3rd Place: 3 temp stars

Temp stars will go to a bot or bots of your choosing for 1 month after the tournament ends. When I post the standings in the competition thread, please promptly reply to your initial entry bmail with which bots you would like the stars on (I will also reply to it as a reminder when the time comes).

When you have finished building your entry, bmail me the link to the page of the bot you are entering and the password (be sure to use a throwaway password). Entering the bot into the tournament during sign-ups is still your responsibility.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND SPECIFICS

No malicious behavior against the spirit of the tournament, including but not limited to purposely leveling other participants, obstructing their building process, scouting builds etc. Anyone found doing so will be disqualified.

If you accidentally over-level or somebody else levels you, do not spend any of the extra stat points and the bot can remain in the competition. If you spend even a single extra stat point you will be disqualified.

If you want to confirm with me if a build is competition legal before building it, feel free to send a build calculator link along with what item you will use in the stash. If it is not compliant, I'll let you know which rule is broken so you can make adjustments.

When completed, your build must be able to equip your stashed item as well as swap back to what it replaces. As long as your other gear meets their requirements in one of those two states, it is legal. Examples below.

This build with gravepalm in the stash is almost legal. Only one piece of armor costs more than 150k. All of the armor pieces and the weapon can be worn with the gravepalm equipped, and the shield can be equipped once it puts on venom grip which would be allowed. However, it cannot put the gravepalm back on once it swaps to venom grip and that is what would disqualify it.

There are many ways to adjust a build, here we will change the stash item to goblin toe instead of gravepalm. Now everything can be equipped with the goblin toe on, and we're freely able to swap back and forth between it and the blood bather. This would be legal.

Not content with winning all 3 top spots in mine, now he's taking my job of hosting it!

There's a complaints section right here. It also looks like you don't need any imposed restrictions for your build to be shitty, I think there's plenty for you to discover in the current equipment before complaining about gear in a tournament context.

Just a bit of optional player-run fun, nothing to do with the games development. People enjoyed it last month, you're not forced to enter.

People need to learn what constructive criticism is.

It's almost as if they've never played other online games that have things like this within them (Community driven events).

Instead of shitting on the game dev for his lack of updates (though very short sided considering he is updating the game even if you don't always see the fruits of that labor as they might not directly impact you and your playing), why not commend the community for stepping forward and trying to bring some life into an otherwise stale aspect of the game.

OFF TOPIC but within the same vein.

Perhaps seeing some "solo clan competition" months where clans are populated by a single person (multiple bots or single bot only) and fighting for the top spot.

Highest level bot without attacking (only training) in a single month.

Most wins without training more than 2 times (since it's required to hit level 2) on a single bot with only attacking and not dumping to it.

Things like these would be a lot of fun and wouldn't take away time from Ender's already limited free time to code on this game and wouldn't require him to sacrifice more of his personal life (considering he does have a personal one with family, friends, and work).

Tourny sign ups have started! Still a good 4 1/2 days to get your bot set up and have a shot at some stars to utilize, and with 3 placement prizes you've got pretty good odds!

Thank you everyone for the participation, I'm impressed with how easily everybody was able to follow the criteria despite it looking like I wrote an essay. Not one bot got completely wiped out so the placings ended up being pretty tight. Two of the level 70 tourneys took an L from PRICE CUTTER and Champion Axes too.

Here is the build I went for (plus a stashed Gravepalm to make it work). Scrolling through the weapons list for a balanced-ish wep and moonblade caught my eye. Super low CON and not the greatest armours, but had fun making it work!
