Looking at the formula, got a couple questions about fringe cases.

It would appear that the damage is multiplied by ratio, but how do extremely high or low ratios work? Like 0 wins or 0 losses?

Is there a minimum exp earned, or can you truly earn 0 experience?

Is there a maximum? Or does a ratio of 1 million just give you 10 levels at once?

Also what about kudos earned from training bots? We know it scales with int, but what is the optimal target for kudos farming instead of exp? Like higher level than your bot, win vs loss, etc? Does it scale any differently than exp?

Btw when it comes to these boosts for energy and kudos transfer, do they activate on losses? So would my opponent get more kudos for beating me with it on?

Thanks!

Just the ones I know off the top off my head:

Any ratio above 3.0 counts as 3.0 for the sake of exp gained, NaN acts as 3.0

You can truly earn 0 exp from a fight if you deal no damage at all

Not sure on exact details of kudos vs xp for training, but anecdotally losing is not as big a big deal if you want kudos - it definitely does scale a little different to training for xp. Losing 50% of the time may be optimal for kudos but will rarely be optimal for xp

Buffs are a little more complicated, they are personal for the most part. If you lost to someone with a 250% xp gain buff, they wouldn't get 250% exp. However, they would get 250% energy if you had an energy buff on - I think because they are risking their energy which is where the calculation takes place.

All buffs are individually based. Because the defender gains no XP when you attack them, then the XP buff on loss is moot. However, because when you lose you do transfer energy/kudos and those buffs affect you as well, then you would lose those based on the buff you are running.

"All buffs are individually based." By this I mean only relevant to the individual running the buff and attacking.

Thanks guys, I did not know about the 3.0 cap.

However, it is absolutely true that defenders gain exp. Actually this question is to help speed up my dark operations of 'leveling up' my foes.

Also I'm 99% sure energy transferred on a loss is not affected by energy boosts. I've never lost more than about 25 energy on a loss even if I just gained 75 on a win against the same bot.

Less keen to help knowing its to level other people! Generally frowned upon and will almost always hurt you more in the long run than help you, there aren't many active players so annoying just one or two could affect your experience for years to come

Energy lost on a loss is definitely affected by the multiplier, it's just that you lose less energy when you lose than the amount you gain when you win. If you disable all energy buffs and lose to a bot you'll only lose single digit energy, so when you lost 25 you must have had some buffs active.

Really? But it seems I drain a target of energy at the same rate I gain it. Ie they have 50 left, I win 50, they are at 0.

Yeah I target inactive opponents unless someone aggros me first. I think it's fun to pull a threatening foe up a few levels until they are out of their league, then reliably farm them. It's like mining for energy in the hardest to reach places. Actually this strategy almost only works on inactives because active players would actually distribute their stat points and make it a moot point.

Most active players aren't likely to disturb others either. Most of the game was built around the idea of PvP but almost all of us have found ways to turn it more into PvE by use of easily beatable bots rather than fighting other active players and their better built bots.

I myself am a rather slow energy farmer, and even when someone swipes my target I just move on most of the time. Plenty of targets.

Also, completely forgot about this because I never bother with it but should have known I was wrong with ziz leveling while attacking them. But I think it's useless unless you go out of your way to build a bot with a good ratio then attack so they actually get enough XP to make it worth your time.
