for a start, it's really hard to tell how to buy armors that aren't plates. i know now that you have to scroll, but you don't really have a reason to scroll at first, so it's hard to discover the other armor sets. perhaps this could be split into 4 different lists so that it's more obvious you can get them? or even just a hint to scroll down and buy other armor types if the user is level [whatever] and hasnt bought any armor besides a plate yet |

i feel like the amount of kudos i have should be shown somewhere in The Player Stat Box. it is the currency of the game and probably deserves to be clearly visible |
|
|
i also feel like the game should slowly ramp down your boosts, instead of giving you an aura that lasts 100 battles and then just goes poof, which leads to a very sudden cliff |
|
|
it could be interesting to also try allowing resets a lot more often, and maybe have some sort of metaprogression beyond trophies? i'm taking some ideas from incremental games here since that's the type of game I play admittedly this is less of a complaint i guess but i'm more trying to put my thoughts in one place so that it's easier to read through. worth mentioning i am sick so my ideas may be Bad |

for a start, it's really hard to tell how to buy armors that aren't plates. i know now that you have to scroll, but you don't really have a reason to scroll at first, so it's hard to discover the other armor sets. If you go into settings you can click an option to remove the showroom scroll wheel which will fix this for you. perhaps this could be split into 4 different lists so that it's more obvious you can get them? or even just a hint to scroll down and buy other armor types if the user is level [whatever] and hasnt bought any armor besides a plate yet Iβm assuming by armor type youβre referring to the names of armore? Their is not difference in armor types just flavor text names and raw stats attached to them i feel like the amount of kudos i have should be shown somewhere in The Player Stat Box. it is the currency of the game and probably deserves to be clearly visible The game isnβt very good at displaying this easily for players. If you look at the top bar where it shows your bot name wins losses and xp kudos is the yellow bar below the exp. You can mouse over that bar to display your current kudos on any screen. i also feel like the game should slowly ramp down your boosts, instead of giving you an aura that lasts 100 battles and then just goes poof, which leads to a very sudden cliff This buff is balanced to prevent advantages established players can use to exploit it. it could be interesting to also try allowing resets a lot more often, and maybe have some sort of metaprogression beyond trophies? i'm taking some ideas from incremental games here since that's the type of game I play admittedly This is also balanced to prevent established players from abusing resets to gain large amount of trophy points this is less of a complaint i guess but i'm more trying to put my thoughts in one place so that it's easier to read through. worth mentioning i am sick so my ideas may be Bad All good we all gotta start somewhere welcome to the game |

He's referring to the 4 different pieces. Body, Helmet, Gloves, Boots. |

Oh fair I didnβt think of that π |

ah, i see, that is useful. would be nice if it were also shown as text but i'm sure there's a reason for it to not be |
|

sure but i don't see how making it slowly decrement would make it more exploitable? although i suppose itd need to be balanced around that probably |

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts as a new player! I really appreciate it. Addressing some of the points:

Why did the energy color need to change? Seems odd and I don't not approve of it |

Ok so serious constructive criticism. From someone that suffers slight color deficiency, the text color chosen for the kudos number text is very difficult to distinguish from the bar itself. The color pallet is quite close and hard to distinguish. The color for the energy was a bit of a shock, but I will say when attacking you notice pretty quickly then that color goes away leading to even less accidental fights with zero energy exchange. |

For the kudos bar text/background color, yeah I agree the current contrast when you have a lot of kudos is not great. I don't like how it came out either. I'll tweak this. For the energy color, I humbly request we give that one some time to see how much simple change aversion can explain adverse reactions. My rough thinking is that there's some value in having a special color indicating the specialness of this resource. |

Ender then maybe have a way to change the color when it's under a certain threshold and not just always blue? |

Actually not opposed to the blue text for energy. Makes it's stand out a little but not so much so that it distracts from the game. Main complaint was the size of the bar (due to the text addition) and the text color (it's very hard to read). I prefer the minimalistic style and feel the more you continue to add to it just continues to clutter it further. |

The colors in the kudos bar, though slightly improved, still a tough read. Going to be difficult I think to find a solid BG color that meshes well since the font color is yellow. I think that's where the issue is. I think the blues should be swapped. I feel like the temporary (monthly) should be lighter and lead into the darker variant (total, permanent). |

Honestly like the idea to change the colors but the energy one is a bit dark given all the other text up there is pretty bright messes with my eyes looking at it. the kudos bar and color dont seem to fit well together im gonna refer to it as the poop bar now :D |

Huge agree here. This seemingly minor difference is really unintuitive as video game logic would follow what nos has said. The darker version of a color should be the more permanent variation while lighter is temporary. Think of dark blue for shields, mana etc while light blue would be temporary shields/barrier or armor. Not to mention the lighter blue would look much better on the status box and fight screen (one of, if not the most used/seen pages) for visibility. Could we also have the energy color be red when it's zero? So accustomed to the green server theme that I don't really like there being such contrasting colors for something that is everywhere, but it does have functional benefit so I'm cool with it. The kudos stuff I frankly find to be an abomination and unnecessary. Anyone who's pushing for some specific threshold of kudos that can't already offload max kudos from other bots is probably refreshing showroom, or if really new, seeing the exact kudos at the end of trains anyway. But should it be kept, why not just copy the colors of the exp bar since it works and we're already used to that combination? I'd also like to restate another suggestion which was to have an advanced settings page/drop down or whatever so smaller less important options could be in there for the sake of clutter in workshop settings. Potentially hiding the kudos text all together as an option is what reminded me of that. |
