is there a detailed formula on how the stats (such as STR and DEX) affect your bot and how it fights?

I ask because I have been fighting a lot of balanced bots with a STR build and doing less damage on all of my hits than the balanced bots. how does that make sense? does dex somehow affect how close you hit to max damage?

Their absorb is probably higher than yours (higher defense), you using the "highest" gear available?

almost, i think i could go one armor better if i had the kudos... but if my STR is higher shouldn't my armor and absorb be higher?

im gonna check to make sure all of my armor is the best i can have. thanks for the thought.

Yes, with higher STR you get access to higher defense gear.

Keep in mind that just because a bot uses a "balanced" weapon doesnt mean he/she is a balanced bot in the stats, different gear can turn a bot around quite easy at lower lvls.

yeah, i was just assuming they were balanced by the weapons and how much more often they were landing hits (4-5 to every 1 of mine... uping DEX a bit now lol). I think im just having trouble getting used to a STR build.

still though, there were formulas up on bots2. i hope they put them on here somewhere when they have the chance.

Here are some formulas for bots2, not sure they are all up to date for bots4.

as reply to your initial question:

"is there a detailed formula on how the stats (such as STR and DEX) affect your bot and how it fights?"

Yes, there is. in essence: strength allowes you wear 'heavier' armours. You can then increase your armor defense, which will determine your absorb rate. (this relation is not linear: absorb = 2 * Square Root of Defense.)

Next to that, strength also determines how hard you will hit, i.e. how much damage you do. The more strength the harder you can hit ofcourse. with every 100 strength, you will double the minimum and maximum damage you do.

Dexterity is a little less complicated (though the formula's are more complicated): the more dexterity you have the better you will be able to hit someone, avoid being hit or block the attack.

This is not quite accurate, you will only double your damage if you go from 0 to 100 strength, when you go from 100 to 200 strength your damage will only be increased by 50%.

Simply put, every point of strength will increase your damage by 1% of your weapons' damage.
