Has it always updated from people applying? I only remember it changing when receiving invitations.

I think it should only show if you have permission to accept them.

My bad for not reading the news. I don't have permission to accept but I can see them.

I can see how it would be annoying to have a yellow notification for something you can't change. I'll make it disappear unless you have clan permissions to accept.
