Anyone else having problems with slow downs to such an extent that it won't load pages? Besides Anarat.

We haven't official word about this, but I think it wasn't related to any updates, also happened only twice today, and I can't remember the last time it happening before.

I had this earlier aswell for a few minutes using firefox, other web pages seemed to work fine though

I had it happen on Firefox and IE at the same time... all other pages worked just fine, just bots slowed down.

Read some posts above you... This has nothing to do with your browsers damnit...

There were two brief outages today, one at around 10:20am and the other at 2:20pm or so. I'm still trying to figure out the cause.

The CPU and bandwidth activity on the server was normal during these times (lower actually), but the I/O usage spiked up to unprecedented levels (almost an entire order of magnitude). I hadn't made any changes during this time, so I don't know what could have triggered this. I haven't seen anything in the server logs to indicate foul play.

Just happened again, time around 7pm (EST)

After reviewing the logs, I believe the server has been swapping (it only has half a GB memory). I noticed the IRC bot that runs on the server had been going for quite awhile and that it had consumed a couple hundred MB of memory, so I turned it off for now. This increased the amount of free memory by quite a bit, so hopefully that resolves these issues.
