I would like to start a discussion/debate themed:

Best builds every 10 levels for tournament participation starting level 40 until level 140.
* (40, 50, 60, 70 etc. - 140)

I am offering 1 permanent star to the one that brings up the best reasoning and arguments to why he chose that/those certain builds and why it would win over the second best builds.

so that you can make that build? ;)

it is a discussion, whatever players believe it is best
i.e.: I think level 50 darkling blades would overpower blackrazors because.. etc.
the debate isn't supposed to be the answer to the perfect play as this game can be played in 1000 ways

I don't see how "reasoning" could decide a winner. There are always too many factors. Only an actual tournament can decide. Maybe do an unofficial tourney. But the way I see it, all you're doing is setting up for a long thread.

Then again, you didn't specify how the winner would be selected. If it's going to be at the sole discretion of the lone judge, who, I'm assuming is going to be you, to decide who made the best impression, or most convincing argument about his/her build then go for it. It's your star anyway, mustn't look a gift horse in the mouth.

In bots4 is there going to be the turney system like there was in bots2?

Based off my calculations, I think I've come up with the absolute best build per level (best damage per point spent, defense per point spent, and what I called "net per point spent" which is basically a sum of all the points. However, I don't want to tell it =p

Besides the fact you can't get 152 base con answerers at level 80, those builds aren't optimal any more Alan :p

alright, to stimulate your brains a little, i have prepared the following brain cracker. This bot will beat all other answerer bots (and probably a whole tournament) whilst wearing an armour most of you will never have used. Wierd eh?

Hmm if we're talking about the best tournament builds, then freaked builds are the way to go really. I don't see why there is even talk about 'normal' builds any more given that there isn't much difference between having the exact stats required for your gear and being a few stat points off.

Au contraire, but i dont think its a good aspect of the game, giving an even bigger advantage to star owners in comparison with regular players

No, that would be a normal build with added levels of con. A "freaked" build is one that uses armors that the player doesn't have the stats for, such as using satans (req str 222), trolls (req str 220) and a manic (req str 192) on a build that only has your "total" str at let's say 210.

Because you're not using it to battle on a regular basis the added stats and def at the cost of losing durability at an alarming rate isn't a factor, thus making them perfect for tourneys but really ignorant to use a regular basis.

using armours with max +str/dex then switching to +con/dex armours and sometimes even redissing max str into con.

Because after you re-dis you don't have the stats to buy them again when they break.

Depending on the build you have to shop for other armours in a certain order to equip your final weapons and armour. A simple thing like replacing a weapon could mean having to shop for many other pieces of armour.
